Everyone has something to give

One of the biggest threats a diabetic can face isn’t always physical health concern, but a mental one.

We as diabetics spend many of our days worrying about our next medical procedure , what foods can we eat, and how high will our sugar level rise. Sometimes it can be very overwhelming,, and you can feel quite alone.

The solution to avoiding these worries is to find an outlet that helps others. I’m a music teacher. I love watching my students progress to higher levels. They could learn a new song ,on their own or with a band, and it’s comforting to know that I helped them accomplish one of their goals.

I run a rock school program also, and it’s great to see a band get along and play music together at a high level. It’s what keeps me going on a bad diabetic or any challenging life days.

The point is your opinion can make a difference in someone’s life. You can reach someone through kindness and your own life’s experiences . Every medical experience you’ve had, good or bad can help someone get through their own troubles.

Offer your advice, share your experiences, and help someone anyway you can. Everyone needs a friend.

Stay safe and healthy!
